GIBSON THE HOLY V GUITAR OF THE MONTH JANUARY 09
List Price: $2,599.95
Our Price: $1,899.95
You Save $700.00

GIBSON THE HOLY V GUITAR OF THE MONTH JANUARY 09
January 2009 is the latest example of Gibson's imaginative spirit. The traditional features of the Flying V are apparent in the Holy V guitar - the mahogany V-shaped body, pointed headstock, and hybrid neck profile are all true to the original's design. Both the neck and headstock have carefully carved vented openings giving the Holy V a more intense look and character, while ending up as one of Gibson's lightest production guitars to date. The Gibson Holy V's neck topped by an ebony fingerboard with split diamond inlays and single-ply binding carries two additional frets, preserving the Flying V's traditional 24-inch scale length wile delivering an even higher register of notes to a guitar already famous for its exceptional lead-playing ability.

GIBSON ANGUS YOUNG SIGNATURE SG
List Price: $3,499.00
Our Price: $2,799.00
You Save $700.00

For over 25 years, the scorching riffs of Angus Young have fueled the rock anthems of AC/DC in chart topping hits and albums. The guitar behind Angus Young's sound? It's the Gibson SG, which actually began life in 1961 as the "new and improved" Les Paul. However, Les was not particularly fond of the design which featured a thinner mahogany body with beveled edges and pointed horns, so the guitar eventually got a new name: The SG, which stood for "Solid Guitar." It was actually a big success for Gibson - obviously the right design for the times. Most SGs were finished in Cherry, which was all the rage in the '60s, however, some were produced in either solid black or white. The Angus Young SG is interesting, because it combines features that were only seen on the high end SGs, namely the larger pickguard and instead of the more traditional Bigsby, an engraved Lyre Vibrola tailpiece (which players generally love or hate, though its visual appeal is undeniable). Want to sound like Angus? You can with the SG that carries his name. Even if you don't know who Angus is, this is still a classic Gibson design with that timeless humbucker sound.

Peavey HP™ Special guitars take their cues from the artistry of the HP Signature Series, but that's where the similarities end. These are Floyd Rose®-outfitted, high-output tone warriors with coil taps on both pickups and our patent-pending Lok Block™ system that lets you set your tremolo fully down or fully floating. HP Special guitars are available in flat- or carved-top models and a palette of jaw-dropping finishes, all hand detailed in the U.S.A.

"HP guitars encompass everything I've learned during my many years of designing and making guitars," says Peavey. "We pioneered a lot of technologies that are now industry standards, including shaping guitars with precise CNC router technology, and we build each HP guitar on that solid foundation, using the finest woods, hardware and pickups for brilliant tone as well as a distinctive, unmistakable appearance."

The HP Series is the ultimate refinement of the playability, tone, style and technology Peavey has developed over the past 40 years, and HP guitars are named for Peavey's founder and sole owner, Hartley Peavey.
